In 1955 Mario Giaj founded Termas, a small mechanical company in Turin.
In 1972 the company moved to Frossasco, in the Pinerolo area (Piedmont). Termas became Firec and the business moved from the mechanical to the electromechanical sector, specialising in the production of custom-made armoured heating elements and thermostats.
The Firec Group gave rise to two new companies: REART and Reco. REART focuses on manufacturing specialised industrial solutions for various sectors, while Reco specialises in producing components for water heaters and electric heating systems for household applications.
Reco became one of the main partners for water heater manufacturers in Italy and a trusted supplier of spare parts for these devices, strengthening its leadership in the local market.
In 2000, the company evolved into Reco Group and embarked on an ambitious internationalization process, expanding its global distribution network. Reco Group established itself as a market leader in the field of electric heating elements and heating systems, with a strong presence in many countries.
Reco Group expanded its production department with the addition of 1,800 square meters to meet the growing demand and ongoing investments in new production lines, strengthening its manufacturing capacity.
